h2. CentOS 9.x (x64)

CentOS is used as server operating system.

CentOS is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by RedHat Inc.. CentOS conforms fully with RedHats redistribution policy and aims to be 100% binary compatible. (CentOS mainly changes packages to RedHat branding and artwork.) CentOS is free.

h2. Windows 11 (x64)

Windows 11™ may be used for manufacturing machines interface and business logic. If there is no web-based user interface, then it might be used as graphical front end for the operator as well.

Windows 11™ is the latest Microsoft operating system, but yet no project did use it.

If you’re just starting out, this is the OS the raspberry team recommend you to use. It’s a reference root filesystem based on the Raspbian optimised version of Debian, and containing LXDE, Midori, development tools and example source code for multimedia functions.

Ubuntu releases are made semiannually by Canonical Ltd, the developers of the Ubuntu operating system, using the year and month of the release as a version number. Every fourth release, occurring in the second quarter of even-numbered years, has been designated as a long-term support (LTS) release.
